Frequently Asked Questions

  • I use positive reinforcement and reward-based methods. Training should build trust and cooperation, never fear or punishment.

  • If you’re not sure, schedule a Discovery call! I’ll help you decide which option best supports your dog’s age, personality, and goals.

  • Most common issues (like pulling on the leash, jumping, or not listening when called) are welcome. If your dog has a history of aggression towards people and/or other dogs, or other dangerous behavior, let’s talk to see if I’m the right fit for your situation.

  • All services are available in Woodland, CA, and nearby communities. If you live outside of Woodland, a travel fee of $1 per mile (after the first 10 miles) may be added depending on the mileage to get to you.

    • Up-to-date vaccinations (for puppy training, your puppy must have started their vaccines)

    • A secure, well-fitting collar or harness and leash

    • High-value treats your dog loves

    • A willingness to learn and have fun with your dog!

  • Yes! After your initial consultation, I offer discounted packages of training sessions depending on your training goals.

  • It is a short, casual meeting before services like Walk & Train. It ensures your dog is comfortable and helps me get to know them better, and to make sure the service is a good fit.

  • I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice when possible, so I can offer your spot to another client. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment will be charged in full.
